After raising her children and becoming a single person Sandra Thron was introduced to art as
therapy by a professor whose daughter had a rare form of skin cancer.  The little girl was
encouraged to use art to help her get beyond her pain as she recuperated in the hospital.  
Through Sandy's own art she was finding healing as she struggled through a launching family
and the end of a 20 year marriage.  Her art became a window into what was being created within
her own subconscious.  

Today, with a BFA in fine art, and a masters degree in educational counseling Sandy has 15
years of experience working in Arizona public school systems.  She is the lead counselor of an
expanding district with 6 counselors.  She also serves on the board of directors for the Arizona
Foundation for Contemporary Theology (AzFCT) Sandy has presented at the International Art
Therapy convention on the use of art in counseling in a public school.  She facilitates workshops
